Carroll University Athletics WebsiteThis was my latest project that I began and completed in June 2009. I met with the client as an independent consultant, created a proposal, created the new design for the site (which was heavily influenced by the client), integrated existing back-end functionality, and completed the project well ahead of schedule and under budget. Technology used was "classic" ASP 3.0, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL. Destalis.comThis is a personal site I created to support my novel and writing. I had a little graphic design help with the flash logo, buttons, and backgrounds. I also used some slick Web 2.0 Javascript code libraries created by a friend. Then I took over and put it all together, laying out the site and doing almost all the programming. Technology used was PHP 5, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL. Wonderware MidwestWhile working for Top Floor Technologies, I took the client's HTML site template and rendered it into ASP 3.0. I built their training class registration system, which included user login, class signup, calendar, and class search functionality. The back-end for the training system allowed the client to manage classes and students. Technology used was "classic" ASP 3.0, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MS SQL Server. American VacuumWhile working for Top Floor Technologies, the client came to us because he wasn't happy with the web company currently working on the site. I took over, worked with the graphic design team to rerskin & re-layout the site, improved the back-end content management system, and provided search engine optimization & marketing services. Technology used was "classic" ASP 3.0, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MS SQL Server. Office ExpoWhile working for Playground Creative (formerly True Edge Consulting), I helped implement the HTML layout of this site, worked on the products & staff information, and created much of the back-end content management system. Technology used was "classic" ASP 3.0, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MS SQL Server. Universal Services Group (USG)While working for Playground Creative (formerly True Edge Consulting), I created shopping cart functionality, rendered the graphic design for the site into HTML, and worked on some of the back-end content management system. Technology used was "classic" ASP 3.0, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MS SQL Server. Behr PaintWhile working for Playground Creative (formerly True Edge Consulting), I created 3D bar graph & pie chart reports by querying the client's product database and using a third-party flash plugin called Fusion Charts. Technology used was "classic" ASP 3.0, XML, MS SQL Server, and Fusion Charts. SetFocus .NET Master's ProgramFrom July 2009 to September 2009, I participated in an official thirteen-week Microsoft .NET training program, working with C# 3.0, .NET 3.5, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, MS SQL Server 2008, the .NET class library assemblies, XML Web Services, and MSI packages. I created Windows Form, Web, and Console applications that provided solutions for real world business scenarios. Framework ProjectWithin the SetFocus .NET Master's Program, I spent a week applying object-oriented programming concepts such as classes, generic collections, and events. The project closely modeled a data access layer for an inventory managment system. |
