WritingOne of my dreams is to become a published science fiction author, and I've been working towards that dream for over six years. Below you'll find brief descriptions of a few of my projects. DestalisDestalis is my first novel, and it's my largest work at around 192,000 words. I based it on a story I wrote in middle school. So far it's gone through four major revisions (with a fifth on the way) after being reviewed by two separate critique groups. Lynn Satarina is an orphaned amnesiac who obsesses over her missing past. She's an inquisitive student of philosophy who becomes an unwitting galactic icon. Her quest to reclaim her past and liberate her home world will threaten to unravel the very fabric of existence. Beyond Cloud NineBeyond Cloud Nine is my second novel. I began and finished rougly the first third of it in December 2008 and January 2009. It's likely to be about half as long as Destalis. Brooke Davis is a fighter pilot waging battles on multiple fronts: against a deeply interwoven conspiracy within the United Nations, against mysterious extraterrestrial assailants, and against her own emotional turmoil. Goodbye, MarsGoodbye, Mars is a short story (well, technically it's a short novella at roughly 18,500 words) set on the red planet billions of years in the future. Dr. Alan Wright has spent years on Mars, trying to cure a deadly disease that's rapidly killing off its inhabitants. But his efforts are cut short when Carlos Delgado, son of the planet's most ruthless drug lord, murders him and kidnaps his daugther, Sera. A decade later, Ethan Gray, Sera's childhood sweetheart, arrives on Mars. But what he finds is far from anything he could have expected.
